Jersey Shore Alpacas is a small farm owned and operated by Jim and Tish Carpinelli, which is located in Green Creek, NJ, a small town near historic Cape May. We purchased our first alpacas in August of 2005, and after our barn and first paddocks were built, we brought Chanel #5, Andina, and Cherokee home in February 2006. Annabel Lee and Oliver Twist were born soon after, in July, and so our herd was up and running! It has grown to 20 alpacas, each with their own special personality. Our physical farm store opened in May of 2007. We launched our online store in November 2016.
We welcome visitors to our farm and shop during the following times:
• Saturdays 10am-4pm, from March-December
• Thursdays and Fridays during the month of July only, also from 10am-4pm
Over the years, we have bred these lovely animals because we enjoy them so much, and also as a business. We are pleased to be uniquely connected to God's creation through these endearing animals, and to be able to share them with others. Alpacas are known for their fine fleece, which can be spun into a yarn that is hypoallergenic, extremely soft, warm, and luxurious. In the products we offer, you will find quality alpaca clothing, such as capes, shawls, scarves, hats, earwarmers, socks, and gloves. We also offer toys, yarn, and other unique gift ideas.
